If you are looking for a used piano, I highly suggest that you start here.
If you visit the RIck Jones Pianos website (click on the image to the left) , you will be able to see and hear several upright, baby grand, and grand models from different manufacturers. The pianos are repaired, refinished, and often times fitted with brand new parts - all the work (including sales) is done by professional technicians. Prices and video demos are online, and they ship to anywhere in the world.
Their prices are often half of what it costs to buy the same exact model, new.
You should still go and play any piano before you decide to buy it, because there are 3 things you always want to consider when buying any piano: how it looks, how it sounds, and how it feels to play it.
I use this site on a daily basis to help my students find free sheet music. The IMSLP site has scores that are in the public domain, so there is nothing illegal about it whatsoever. Not only does it have a great collection of piano music, but it also contains orchestra scores, chamber music scores, and various manuscripts from famous composers (and even some more obscure composers you may not have heard of).
DISCLAIMER:
Not all of the scores on this site are accurate copies. If you want to learn the true intentions of the composer, you should get an Urtext copy, which contains all of the original notes, comments, expressions, and dynamics as the composer's original composition.
